The Business of Being...Levi

Well I've been hanging around this world for  FOUR MONTHS now and here's what I think about things so far...
I've had busy month! I did a bit of traveling...I'm beginning to notice a trend here. My mom likes to travel a lot! This month I got to visit New York City, out of the womb, and meet much of Mommy's family. I was there for my cousin Maddy's first communion, so I got to finally meet and hang out with my NY cousins. I also got to meet two of my great aunts and uncle and I met my great grandma! It was an exciting weekend. I love getting to meet all these new people and I can't wait to see them all again at my Tati's wedding!
It was just me and Mommy for the first time for a few days while Daddy was doing his airforce time. I have to say I was a really good guy for her while he was away. That's what you do when you're temporarily the man of the house.

I also went to my first graduation for a couple students in the youth group and then I went to the Cape for the weekend for my first youth retreat, the first of many I'm sure. It was a lot of fun and I got quite a bit of attention especially from the girls. I am quite the ladies man!
I'm growing growing growing! I am now 26 inches long and 15lbs 5oz. I'm in the 87th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight. People keep thinking I'm older than I actually am. I've started teething and I love to gnaw on everything I can get my hands on. There's no sign of teeth yet, but you can feel them just beneath the gums. I'm also having fun rolling side to side now and grabbing my toys. I haven't started rolling consistently, but when I have tummy time I've started rolling to my back much  more often. I've also rolled from my back to my belly a few times now. When I'm not rolling around, I like standing with support of course, so Mom put together my exersaucer and it is SO much fun! I feel like such a big boy these days because I get to ride in my stroller like a big boy and I like it so much better because I get to see everything as I ride along and when I get tired I can just lay back and take a nap.
Watch me in action...rolling, rolling along.
In napping news, I am quite the cat napper. You can pretty much set your watch to my naps since they're almost always 30 minutes on the dot, but I've let mom start putting me down for naps. My favorite nap spots at the moment are my swing or my strolled, but I have had a few naps in my bed and I'm getting more used to that. Since we're on the subject of sleeping, I started to wrestle out of my swaddle at night, but i'm startling myself less and sleeping for longer stretches. I'm going to bed earlier and earlier these days. I still like to wake up once at night to eat because by 4am I am starving, but then I go right back to sleep until about 7am.
I think my parents are hilarious! I love to smile at them now and I've started laughing. My mom LOVES it when I giggle, but I'm making her work really hard for those belly laughs right now. I'm my happiest first thing in the morning and I like to wake Dad up with my many screeches of joy.
It's been a month of discovery. I discovered my thumb which I don't really suck, but I love to chew! I also found my feet. I love to grab my feet especially on my changing table. When I'm being held in a sitting position I love to lean forward and try to chew on my toes. I think my dad's favorite thing this month has been me and my feet. I've discovered many new toys this month. I'm discovering how fun it can be to sit with Mom and read a story. I've also discovered that I can wiggle during tummy time and if I have something to push off of I can inch myself forward like an inchworm. I'm going to be mobile before you know it.
Of course this has been another month of firsts...
      Meeting my great grandma.
Meeting my NY cousins, great aunts and uncle.
      Attending my first graduation.
      Attending my first recital.
Attending my first youth retreat on the Cape.
Wore my first Osh Kosh overalls this month!
Overall,  in my  FOURTH MONTH I've enjoyed the business of discovery.
